Systems, das den Inhalt einer Verhandlung ausmacht, z.B. hic locus a Zenone tractatus est). – quaestio. id, quod quaerimus. id, quod positum od. propositum est. auch bl. propositum (die aufgestellte Frage, der Vorwurf, die Vorlage einer rhetor. od. philos. Punkt, I) kleiner runder Fleck: a) übh.: punctum (eig. mit einem spitzigen Instrument gemachter P.; dann auch übh., z.B. im Schreiben). – wie ein P. aussehen, quasi puncti instar obtinere: einen P. setzen (als Interpunktionszeichen), interpungere. – b) insbes., im Mittelpunkt der Scheibe: etwa centrum. – P. schießen, medium ferire. – II) kleiner Teil in Raum od. Phorm. 690): ein wichtiger P., res magni momenti; der wichtigste P., res maximi momenti; res gravissima; caput rei: Punkt für Punkt, singillatim; od. durch singuli (z.B. alles P. für P. beantworten, respondere singulis). – Oft wird »Punkt« mit einem Pronomen etc. im Lateinischen bloß durch das Neutrum des Pronomens etc. ausgedrückt, z.B. der P., illud: welcher P., quod: in diesem P., in hoc: jene beiden P., illa duo: was die übrigen Punkte anlangt, si qua praeterea sunt. – und unser »im Punkte der und der Sache« bl. durch in alqa re (z.B. Pompeius noster in amicitia P. Lentuli vituperatur).
