    Русское существительное поездка ограничено в своем значении только кратковременностью в отличие от группы английских соответствий, которые конкретизируются по способу, манере езды. Наиболее близким эквивалентом слову поездка является существительное a trip.
    1. trip — поездка ( краткая) ( подразумевает возвращение на то же место): a business trip — деловая поездка/командировка; a pleasure trip — увеселительная поездка/прогулка; to go on a trip — поехать в командировку; to be on a trip — быть в поездке The trip down the rivertook a few hours. — Поездка вниз по реке заняла несколько часов.
