δεῦτε, ermunternder Zuruf, hierher, wohlan, adverb., aber wie ein plural. zu δεῠρο gebildet; s. Herodian. Μονήρ. λέξ. p. 27, 1; Apoll. lex. Homer. p. 57, 32 δεῠτε· ἄγετε δή. Man hat vermuthet, δεῦτε sei aus δεῠρ' ἴτε entstanden. Bei Homer ist δεῦτε ungleich seltner als δεῠρο. Als sehr bedenkliche var. erscheint δεῠτε in der Anrede an einen Einzelnen Odyss. 8, 145, δεῠτ' ἄγε καὶ σύ, ξεῖνε πάτερ, πείρησαι ἀέϑλων, bessere Lcsart δεῦρ' ἄγε, und Odyss. 8, 205, τῶν δ' ἄλλων ὅτινα κραδίῆ ϑυμός τε κελεύει, δεῦτ' ἄγε πειρηϑήτω, bessere Lesart δεῦρ' ἄγε. Mit dem singularischen ἄγε verbunden als Anrede an Mehrere Odyss. 8, 11, δεῦτ' ἄγε, Φαιήκων ἡγήτορες ἠδὲ μέδοντες, εἰς ἀγορὴν ἰέναι, ὄφρα ξείνοιο πύϑησϑε, vgl. Scholl. Mit dem dual. des Verbs als Anrede an Zwei Iliad. 22, 450, δεῠτε, δύω μοι ἕπεσϑον. In der Anrede an Mehrere mit dem plural. des Verbs, conjunctiv. hortativ.: Odyss. 2, 410 δεῠτε, φίλοι, ἤια φερώμεϑα; 8, 133 δεῠτε, φίλοι, τὸν ξεῖνον ἐρώμεϑα; Iliad. 14, 128 δεῦτ' ἴομεν πόλεμόνδε; mit ἄγετε Iliad. 7, 350 δεῦτ' ἄγετ', Ἀργείην Ἑλένην καὶ κτήμαϑ' ἅμ' αὐτῇ δώομεν Ἀτρείδῃσιν ἄγειν; mit einem imperativ., durch καί verbunden, Iliad. 13, 481, δεῠτε, φίλοι, καί μ' οἴῳ ἀμύνετε. Ohne Verbum, Anrede an Mehrere, Odyss. 8, 307, Ζεῠ πάτερ ἠδ' ἄλλοι ϑεοί, δεῠϑ', ἵνα ἔργα γελαστὰ καὶ οὐκ ἐπιεικτὰ ἴδησϑε. Aehnlich schrieb Kallistratos Odyss. 2, 410, Scholl. Didym Καλλίστρατος δεῦτε, φίλοι, ὄφ ρ' ᾖα φερώμ εϑα. Odyss. 8, 250 wird von Strab. 10. p. 473 mit δεῠτε angeführt, δεῠτ' ἄγε, Φαιήκων βητάρμονες ὅσσοι ἄριστοι, bessere Lesart ἀλλ' ἄγε. – Sp. D. u. N. T., wo, wie bei δεῦρο, nicht immer an ein Herkommen zu denken. – Vgl. noch Buttmann Lexil. 2. 227 ff, wo auch Einiges über δηῠτε.
