Wesen u. v. Lebl.; assol. ohne Perfektum). – consuevisse (sich gewöhnt haben, gewohnt sein, v. leb. Wesen u. Lebl.); alle drei mit Infin. – mihi mos est m. Infin. od. m. Genet. Gerundii (ich habe die Sitte, es an der Gewohnheit, zu etc.). – est proprium alcis od. bl. est alcis m. Infin. (es ist jmdm. eigen, es ist das charakteristische Kennzeichen jmds., z.B. sapientis est proprium od. bl. sapientis est nihil quod paenitere possit facere) – Auch wird das deutsche »pflegen« in [1866] der Erzählung durch das bloße Präsens vder Imperfektum des dabeistehenden Verbs ausgedrückt, z.B. nach dem Mittagessen pflegt (pflegte) er ein wenig zu ruhen, post cibum meridianum paulum conquiescit (conquiescebat). – ich pflege es so zu machen, zu halten, hic meus est mos; sie assuevi: wie es zu geschehen pflegt, ut solet od. assolet.
