Затраты переменных факторов
Исполь зование фирмой производственных ресурсов, величину которых можно легко изменить в краткосрочном периоде с целью сокращения или увеличения объема производства предприятия определенного размера. Это относится к таким факторам как заработная плата, сырье, топливо, электроэнергия и др. Переменные издержки равны количеству переменных факторов, помноженному на их цены. Переменные издержки
Издержки, величина которых меняется в зависимости от изменения объема производимой продукции. К переменным издержкам относят затраты на переменные ресурсы (см. Variable factor inputs). Рассмотрим графики.
В краткосрочном периоде кривая общих переменных издержек TC (total variable costs) на графике (а) имеет форму буквы S, т.к. при более низких объемах производства общие переменные издержки растут медленными темпами - эффект возрастающей отдачи от вложения переменных факторов (см. Returns to the variable factor-input). При более высоких объемах производства они начинают быстро расти - эффект убывающей отдачи. Средние переменные издержки AVC на графике (б) сначала снижаются, а затем начинают расти. Согласно теории рынков фирма покидает отрасль в том случае, если в краткосрочный период ей не удается получить достаточный валовой доход (см. Total revenue) для покрытия своих общих переменных издержек. Если ей удается это сделать, а также получить дополнительный доход для вложения в общие постоянные издержки, она продолжит свое производство, даже если будет работать в убыток. Ср.: Fixed costs.
