פלי, פָּלָא(b. h.) to split, separate; to remove; to search; v. פֶּלֶא, פְּלִיאָה. Nif. נִפְלָא to be remote, hidden, obscure. Midr. Till. to Ps. 119:18 א־נה נִפְלֵאתוכ׳ it (the Law) is not hidden, as it is said (Deut. 30:11) ; לא נִפְלֵאת אלא ממךוכ׳ it is hidden from thee only (through thy own fault), who didst not take pains to study it.
