Como tantos otros realizadores al mismo tiempo que el, Webb se limita a dirigir peliculas de una hora de duracion, con razonable buen pulso, protagonizadas por alguno, o al gunos, de los heroes del genero en la decada de los treinta, sin mas ambiciones que la de proporcionar entretenimiento barato a un publico lo mas amplio posible. Sus actores favoritos son, sin duda, Jay Wil sey, acreditado como Buffalo Bill, Jr., Jack Perrin, Tom Tyler y Bob Steele. Creador, en su momento, de Mas cot Pictures (1927) y Reliable Pictures (1933). Su mujer, Rose Gordon, fue guionista en la empresa familiar.
