Объединение нескольких последовательных значений конкретного показателя КЭ, измеренных на одинаковых интервалах времени, для получения значения показателя при большем интервале времени.
В настоящем стандарте для обозначения результатов объединения нескольких последовательных значений показателя КЭ, измеренных на одинаковых интервалах времени, вместо термина «собирание» («aggregation») в соответствии с [4], применен термин «объединение».
Примечание - В настоящем стандарте объединение значений показателей КЭ представляет собой их объединение только по времени.

Для того чтобы представить аналоговый сигнал последовательностью чисел конечной разрядности, его нужно сначала преобразовать в дискретный сигнал, а затем квантовать. В результате сигнал будет представлен таки образом, что на каждом заданном временном промежутке времени будет определено приблизительное (квантованное) значение сигнала, которое можно записать целым числом. Если записать эти целые числа в двоичной системе, то получится последовательность нулей и единиц, которая и будет цифровым сигналом.
