Названия театров употребляются с определенным артиклем: the Globe theatre, The Bolshoy Theatre. Названия театров, начинающиеся с имени собственного или существительного в притяжательном падеже, артикля не требуют. Названия театров пишутся с большой буквы (the National Theatre, the Haymarket Theatre, the Opera House, и т. д.) в отличие от названия типа театра (drama theatre, opera theatre, и т. д.), которое пишется с маленькой буквы
