On notera la remarque: " inic mihtoa teôâtl cahmo teôtl zan quihtôznequi mâhuiztic hueyi tlamâhuizôlli ", on dit eau divine, non parce qu'il est un dieu, cela veut dire simplement chose merveilleuse, une grande merveille - it is called teôâtl (sea), not that it is a god; it only means wonderful, a great marvel. Le même paragr. signale qu'en raison de la vraie foi (" in âxcân in îpâmpa tlaneltoquiliztli ") on utilise l'expression " hueyi âtl " pour désigner l'océan.
    " teôâtl îxco ", devant l'océan - before the ocean. Sah12,6.
