юр. территориальные воды, территориальное море (морской пояс шириной до 12 морских миль, примыкающий к сухопутной территории или внутренним водам прибрежного государства, а в случае государства-архипелага — к его архипелажным водам; прибрежное государство осуществляет свой суверенитет над территориальными водами, их дном и недрами, а также воздушным пространством над ними с соблюдением норм международного права; согласно Женевской конвенции о территориальном море и прилежащей зоне от 1958 г. и Конвенции ООН по морскому праву от 1982 г., нормальной исходной линией для измерения ширины территориальных вод является линия наибольшего отлива вдоль берега, указанная на официально признанных прибрежным государством морских картах крупного масштаба; для островов, расположенных на атоллах, или островов с окаймляющими рифами исходной линией служит обращенная к морю линия рифа при наибольшем отливе; в местах, где береговая линия глубоко изрезана и извилиста или где вдоль берега и в непосредственной близости к нему имеется цепь островов, может применяться так называемый метод прямых исходных линий, соединяющих соответствующие точки; система прямых исходных линий не должна применяться прибрежным государством таким образом, чтобы территориальные воды другого государства оказались отрезанными от открытого моря или экономической зоны; в соответствии с положениями Конвенции ООН от 1982 г. суда всех государств пользуются правом мирного прохода через территориальные воды)Syn:See: -
