Результат применения налоговой шкалы к налоговой базе. Налоговое обязательство рассчитывается умножением налоговой базы на налоговую ставку, причем последняя обычно рассматривается как независимая от налоговой базы. (исключения связаны с применением прогрессивных и регрессивных налоговых шкал).
