развитие идеи билатерального фильтра ( bilateral filter); в дополнение к геометрическому и фотометрическому показателям, которые учитывает билатеральный фильтр, вводится третий показатель, называемый мерой локального структурного подобия (local structural similarity measure). На основе этих трёх показателей соседних пикселов (пикселов окружения) вычисляется взвешенное среднее значение для каждого обрабатываемого пиксела изображения.
