Трансформатор выполнен в виде опорной разъемной конструкции. Роль первичной обмотки выполняет трехфазный кабель на напряжение до 10 кВ, пропущенный в окно трансформатора. Вторичная обмотка намотана на тороидальный магнитопровод, разрезанный пополам. Обе части, залитые изоляционным компаундом на основе эпоксидной смолы, соединяются болтами.
