Главную роль исполнила Маргерит Морено; ее намеренно карикатурное комикование несколько удручает. В 1949 г. вышла на экраны версия англичанина Торолда Дикинсона (Queen of Spades) – тщательно выстроенный фильм, слегка искусственно вычурный, выводящий на первый план портрет амбициозного человека (Энтон Уолбрук), случайно оказавшегося в центре фантастической истории. В этой картине образ героини (Эдит Эванз) также колоритен и карикатурен. Наконец, явился Леонард Киджел. По сценарию Жюльена Грина (вместе с которым он уже работал над превосходной экранизацией его же романа Левиафан, Leviathan, 1962) он, наперекор тенденциям французского кино тех лет, создает фильм лиричный, увлекательный, детально проработанный (несмотря на скудный бюджет), загадочный и призрачный, вдобавок украшенный великолепной Дитой Парло в главной роли. Она создает в картине душераздирающий образ старости и становится проводником в загадочный мир страсти и вечности, где таится главный секрет поэмы. Сценарий этой Пиковой дамы, насколько нам известно, является единственным сценарием реализованного фильма, опубликованным издательством «Библиотека Плеяды» в «Полном собрании сочинений» Жюльена Грина (том III, 1973).N.В.
