Фаза экономического цикла, характеризующаяся значительным спадом экономической активности - сокращением производства и капиталовложений, и ростом безработицы. Основная причина экономического спада - падение совокупного спроса, уровень которого можно регулировать при помощи инструментов государственной фискальной и денежно-кредитной политики. См.
