[ˌɛseɪ'tiː](= Scholastic Aptitude Test) esami attitudinali per l'iscrizione all'universitàSee:Cultural note: SAT Negli Stati Uniti gli Scholastic Aptitude Tests o SAT sono gli esami di cultura generale sostenuti all'ultimo anno di scuola superiore che consentono di accedere al college o all'università. La votazione massima è 1600, con una media intorno a 900. I risultati vengono comunicati al college presso cui si fa domanda ma l'ammissione dipende anche dall'andamento complessivo degli studi. Gli esami SAT possono essere sostenuti più volte, fino a raggiungere un risultato accettabile, ma sono soggetti ogni volta al pagamento di una tassa. -
