sostantivo maschile (f. -a) sick person* * *ammalato/amma'lato/L'aggettivo ammalato/malato si traduce in inglese in due modi diversi: ill e sick. Il primo si usa in posizione predicativa dopo il verbo essere: mia nonna è gravemente (am)malata = my grandmother is seriously ill.
