Потоковый шифр, разработанный Роном Райвестом (Ron Rivest); байт-ориентированный, с ключом (Key) переменного размера. Алгоритм основан на случайных перестановках. Проведенный анализ показывает, что период шифра >=10^(100). Приблизительно в 10 раз быстрее DES.
