מֶזֶגm. (b. h.; זָגַג, cmp. מֶמֶר fr. מָרַר) (clearing, refining; fr. which מָזַג to clear ( dark) wine by dilution, 1) mixture. Sifra Vayikra, Ndab., Par. 5, ch. Naz.35b, a. e. אין היתר מִצְטָרֵף לאיסור a permitted thing is not to be joined to a forbidden thing, i. e. if one ate simultaneously, one half of the legal size each, of a permitted and of a forbidden thing, the two must not be counted together to make up the legal size.
