Устройство или совокупность устройств, обеспечивающих при записи передачу информации носителю записи.
Примечания
1. При использовании одного и того же устройства для одновременной передачи n-го числа информации с целью их последующего раздельного воспроизведения его следует рассматривать как n-е число каналов записи, как и в случае использования n-го числа раздельных устройств.
2. Выходным сигналом канала записи является сигнал, записанный на носителе записи.
3. В необходимых случаях к терминам добавляют прилагательные, образованные от названий систем и способов записи и воспроизведения, например "канал цифровой оптической записи", "канал механического воспроизведения".
