истЗаконы, принятые с целью осуществления Реконструкции Юга [ Reconstruction]. Законы от 2 марта 1867: Первый закон о Реконструкции [ First Reconstruction Act] создавал на территории десяти южных штатов пять военных округов во главе с генералами, осуществлявшими всю полноту власти, и подтверждал избирательные права негров; Закон о Командовании армией [Command of the Army Act], согласно которому президент мог издавать распоряжения по армии только через генерала армии У. Гранта, и Закон о занятии высших должностных постов [ Tenure of Office Act], запрещавший президенту увольнять с должности без согласия Сената [ Senate, U.S.] лиц, назначенных на эту должность "по совету и с согласия" [ advice and consent] последнего.
