Raub, raptus alcis rei (als Zustand, in dem etwas geraubt wird od. worden ist, z.B. raptus virginis). – rapīna (als Räuberei oder räuberische Handlung). – raptum (das geraubte Gut). – praeda (der erjagte Gewinn des Jägers u. plündernden Kriegers, die Beute). – furtum (die heimliche Entwendung fremden Eigentums, der Diebstahl, auch literarischer, und das gestohlene Gut). – latrocinium (die Straßenräuberei, auf freier Straße und mit offener Gewalt, mit u. ohne maris auch = Seeräuberei). – der R. der Gattin, rapta uxor. – R. an öffentlichen Geldern, Kassen, peculatus: auf den R. (d. i. eilig), raptim: auf den R. ausgehen, ire od. exire raptum (auch v. Tieren); ire od. exire praedatum. praedam sectari (auf Beute); ire od. exire ereptum aliena bona od. alienas pecunias (auf Plünderung): vom R. leben, vivere rapto (auch von Tieren): sich von fremdem R. bereichern, aliorum spoliis suas facultates, copias, opes augere: ein Raub der Flammen, des Schwertes werden, flammis, gladio absumi: ein Raub des Todes werden, morte absumi od. consumi: ein R. der Zeit werden, tempore interclpi.
