В теории и практике оценки бизнеса – стандартизированный формат установления скидки за недостаточную ликвидность в зависимости от прогнозного периода владения акциями. Ожидаемый период владения акциями это, по существу, время, за которое рассматриваемая доля сохраняется как неликвидная. Чем продолжительнее период владения акциями, тем ниже приведенная стоимость (present value) будущих денежных потоков, тем, естественно, значительнее скидка за недостаток ликвидности. Что касается второй предпосылки QMDM, то здесь важно представлять, в какой мере условия дихотомического распределения денежного потока на реинвестиции и на выплату дивидендов определяют возможности повышения стоимости бизнеса в период владения акциями.
