Зимний вид спорта, который представляет собой соревнования в скоростном спуске на одноместных или двухместных санях по заранее подготовленной трассе. Спортсмен стартует из положения «сидя»; после отталкивания участник принимает положение «лежа на спине» ногами вперед. Управление санями происходит за счет смещения центра тяжести тела спортсмена. В программу Олимпийских игр по санному спорту входят индивидуальные соревнования среди мужчин на одноместных санях, женщин на одноместных санях и мужчин на двухместных санях. Состязания проходят на одной трассе, но для женщин и мужчин на двухместных санях дистанция короче. В 2011 году МОК принял решение о включении командной эстафеты в санном спорте в программу Олимпийских зимних игр 2014 года в Сочи.

luge
Winter sport that involves sliding at high speeds on single- or two-person sleds. The run takes place on a specially built track. The athlete starts in a seating position and after pushing off lies supine and feet-first. The sled is steered by changing the luger’s center of gravity. There are three classes of Olympic competition: singles men, singles women and doubles. Men and women compete on the same track, but women’s and doubles’ starting line is further down the course than men’s. In 2011 the IOC confirmed the inclusion of luge team relay in the program of the Olympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi.

1 Зимний вид спорта, который представляет собой спуск по ледяной трассе на одиночных санях, на которых спортсмен лежит на животе головой вперед в направлении движения. В программу Олимпийских игр входят индивидуальные соревнования среди мужчин и женщин. Олимпийские соревнования по скелетону длятся два дня. Каждый спортсмен совершает по 4 заезда. Победителем становится тот, чье суммарное время (по всем 4 заездам) минимально. Если два спортсмена финишируют с одинаковым временем, они получают одинаковые награды.
2. Небольшие двухполозьевые сани на укрепленной раме, на которых спортсмен лежит во время спуска.

skeleton
1. Winter discipline where competitors aim to drive a one-person sled in a prone, head-first position down an ice track. Skeleton consists of two events in the Olympic program — individual men and individual women. Olympic skeleton events consist of four runs that are contested over two days, and the final standings are determined by the aggregate time of the four runs. If athletes complete the competition in a tie, they receive the same award.
2. Small two-runner sled with a hardened frame. It is ridden by a single slider in the prone position.

All places around the field of play and mixed zone at the competition venues. The field of play and its surrounding area is probably the most important part of work for the Look of the Games Program. It is the area most covered during broadcast, where the athlete competes and acts as inspiration to his/her psychology with the Games marks all around.
