Общее время, необходимое для изготовления номенклатурной позиции, исключая длительность цикла закупки компонент нижнего уровня. Для продуктов «производства на заказ» это время между запуском заказа в производственный процесс и отгрузкой конечному клиенту. Для продуктов «производства на склад» это время между запуском заказа в производственный процесс и получением готовой продукции в запасы. Сюда включается время подготовки заказа, время в очереди, подготовительное время, штучное время (время обработки), время перемещения, время контроля и время помещения на склад.
Синонимы: производственный цикл (manufacturing cycle, production cycle), production lead time. (примечание автора перевода: перевод термина “run time” зависит от того, говорим мы о партии предметов или же об одном предмете. При обработке одного предмета говорят о штучном времени, при обработке же партии предметов “run time” уже будет означать время обработки)
