24 random sampling
Opsan unbiased sampling technique in which every member of a population has an equal chance of being included in the sample. Based on probability theory, random sampling is the process of selecting and canvassing a representative group of individuals from a particular population in order to identify the attributes or attitudes of the population as a whole. Related sampling techniques include: stratified sampling, in which the population is divided into classes, and random samples are taken from each class; cluster sampling, in which a unit of the sample is a group such as a household; and systematic sampling, which refers to samples chosen by any system other than random selection. -
25 risk analysis
Gen Mgtthe identification of risks to which an organization is exposed and the assessment of the potential impact of those risks on the organization. The goal of risk analysis is to identify and measure the risks associated with different courses of action in order to inform the decision making process. In the context of business decision making, risk analysis is especially used in investment decisions and capital investment appraisal. Techniques used in risk analysis include sensitivity analysis, probability analysis, simulation, and modeling. Risk analysis may be used to develop an organizational risk profile, and also may be the first stage in a risk management program.
