Les ministres du cabinet sont aujourd'hui automatiquement conseillers du roi ou de la reine, et ce titre est également accordé aux personnes qui ont occupé de hautes fonctions en politique, dans le clergé ou dans les milieux juridiques. Les pouvoirs de ces conseillers en tant que tels sont maintenant limités. -
