1 Neumann, Kurt
1908-1958Nacido en Alemania, Kurt Neumann va a los Estados Unidos para dirigir versiones en aleman, a co mienzos del sonoro. Mas tarde, emprendera una carrera como director que solo se valoro en su justa medida en los anos 50, que son los ultimos de su actividad. La mosca (The Fly, 1958) es, con toda seguridad, la mas famosa de sus peliculas y una de las cumbres del genero fantastico. Antes ya nos habia ofrecido Neumann cuatro entregas de Tarzan que no estan nada mal, entre 1945 y 1953, las tres primeras con Johnny Weissmuller y la ultima con Lex Barker. Como director de westerns tambien ofrece mas de lo que a primera vista parece, especialmente en esa extrana y sugestiva pelicula que es Hacha de guerra.My Pal, The King (Mi amigo el rey). 1932. 74 minutos.
