הַפְלָאָהf. (פָּלָא) 1) distinction, peculiarity, use of the word פלא. Sabb.138b ה׳ זווכ׳ this peculiarity of punishment (Deut. 28:59) ; ה׳ זו תורה it means the Law (afflictions causing the Law to he forgotten, ref. to Is. 29:14). 2) distinct and solemn specification of a vow (from Lev. 27:2; Num. 6:2; v. אִיסְפְּלִיאָה). Tosef.Naz.III, 19 לא ניתנה נזירות אלא לה׳ the law of the nazirs vow applies only to distinct utterance (where there is no doubt); Naz.34a; a. e.Ib. 62a of the two ki yafli (Lev. l. c.
