HRthe centralization of pay negotiations at industry level, either nationally or regionally, usually conducted by employers’ associations and labor unions. Multiemployer bargaining is a form of collective bargaining that declined in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. Seen as having a moderating influence on pay rises, it hinders flexibility to link pay awards to company or individual employee performance. -
