Имеет аварийную службу, пункты технического контроля транспортных средств, парк автомобилей и вертолётов медицинской помощи, туристические бюро, центры повышения водительского мастерства, выпускает собственный журнал. Насчитывает более 1 млн. членов. Основан в 1946 в результате слияния двух клубов: Австрийского туристического (Österreichischer Touring Club, сокр. ÖTC, основан в 1896) и Австрийского Автомобильного (Österreichischer Automobilclub, сокр. ÖAC, основан в 1898)Австрия.
