HUMAN, HUMANEHuman означает 'человеческий, людской, свойственный человеку': human nature, human deeds (affairs). Humane имеет значение 'гуманный, человечный': a man of humane character, humane treatment of animals. Ср. human being 'человек, человеческое существо' и humane individual 'гуманный, мягкий человек'. Прилагательное humane по объему значения, шире прилагательного гуманный и совпадает с русским эквивалентом только в значении 'человечный': man of humane character.
