Ширина полосы частот, за нижним и верхним пределами которой каждая из излучаемых средних мощностей равняется определенному проценту от всей средней мощности данного излучения. (Регламент Радиосвязи, Ст. 1, п. 1.153).

ширина занимаемой полосы частот
Область частот, за верхним и нижним пределами которой сосредоточено не более р % всей излучаемой мощности передатчика (величина р зависит от класса излучения). Для большинства случаев считается, что в занимаемой полосе частот сосредоточено не менее 99 % излучаемой мощности и все дискретные составляющие, мощность которых обычно не превышает 0,25 % от общей излучаемой мощности.
