1 -nostalgic o homesick?-
Nota d'usoPer esprimere il sentimento di nostalgia di casa, famiglia o paese di origine, in inglese si usa l'aggettivo “homesick”: Sentì nostalgia di casa per la prima volta dopo tutti gli anni passati all'estero, she felt (o was) homesick for the first time after all the years she had spent abroad. Il sostantivo inglese “nostalgia” e l'aggettivo corrispondente “nostalgic” si riferiscono solo alla nostalgia per il passato: Si sentì nostalgica e desiderò essere di nuovo giovane, she felt nostalgic and wished to be young again.
