1899-1980Prolifico director, capaz de rodar entre seis y siete filmes por ano, durante treinta, ajustandose siempre al presupuesto, cuya filmografia en el western se centra en la serie del cowboy cantante Roy Rogers, en algunas peliculas de la correspondiente serie del tambien cowboy cantante Gene Autry, y en la reunion, de dos en dos, de diversos capitulos del serial televisivo dedicado a Wild Hill Hickcok, con Guy Ma dison y Andy Devine como protagonistas. Estos ultimos, un total de 28 episodios distribuidos en catorce peliculas, no figuran aqui, dado su caracter de filmes realizados para TV que no han sufrido modificacion alguna antes de su pase en sa las de cine. Falle cido en 1980, puede resultar sorprendente que Mc - Donald firme una ultima pelicula como director en 1994. Se explica porque el largometraje en cuestion esta formado por escenas tomadas de otro serial televisivo, dedicado en esta ocasion al famosisimo Wyatt Earp, y escenas nuevas ro dadas para completar el metraje.
