s TECNOL i INFORM analitzador -a de xarxes. Def. del Dic. de Telecomunicacions: Instrument de mesura de la resposta en freqüència de dispositius i subsistemes de radiofreqüència. Consisteix en un generador d'escombratges de freqüència més un sistema receptor. Existeixen dos tipus d'analitzadors: el vectorial i lescalar. El vectorial permet fer mesures en mòdul i fase dels coeficients de reflexió i de transmissió. La representació de mòdul i fase a la pantalla de l'analitzador pot ser en format lineal, logarítmic o polar part real i imaginària, en coeficient de reflexió en carta de Smith, o en impedància i admitància. L'analitzador de xarxes escalar utilitza un receptor més senzill que converteix el senyal de RF rebut en un senyal de baixa freqüència (BF) que es visualitza en pantalla; permet mesurar les pèrdues de retorn i d'inserció de quadripols però no els seus paràmetres S.
