1 Gram stain
Метод окрашивания микробиологических препаратов, разработанный Хансом Грамом (1853-1938, Дания) и позволяющий идентифицировать две группы бактерий - грам-положительные Gram-positive bacteria и грам-отрицательные Gram-negative bacteria; различия в окраске обусловлены особенностями биохимического состава бактериальных мембран.Англо-русский толковый словарь генетических терминов > Gram stain

2 Gram-negative bacteria
Бактерии, не окрашивающиеся по Граму Gram stain, к ним относятся более 180 родов бактерий ( а также риккетсии rickettsiae); в основном Г.б. вырабатывают эндотоксины endotoxins (в отличие от грам-положительных бактерий, вырабатывающих гл. обр. экзотоксины).* * *Грамотрицательные бактерии — бактерии, которые не окрашиваются по Граму, т. е. по методике, предложенной еще в XIX в. датским бактериологом Грамом. К ним относятся более 180 родов бактерий, а также риккетсии. Имеют сложную клеточную стенку, у которой наружная мембрана покрыта жестким пептидогликановым матриксом. В основном вырабатывают эндотоксины. К Г. б. относятся Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi-murium и др. (ср.
