Скрещивание моногибридное — — скрещивание особей, различающихся одной парой аллельных генов (А,а) или одной парой альтернативных признаков. При скрещивании гомозиготных по данным генам родительских особей с гаметами А и а образуются зиготы первого поколения F1 c генотипом Аа. У особей F1 соответственно образуются гаметы А и а. Скрещивание этих особей дает зиготы F2 со следующими генотипами: АА, Аа, Аа и аа. Т. обр., расщепление во втором поколении по генотипу соответствует формуле 1:2:1, а по фенотипу — 3:1 (3А-: 1аа) (см. Законы Менделя). В случае неполного доминирования (АА > Аа) расщепления в F2 по фенотипу и генотипу совпадают, т. е. 1:2:1 (1АА: 2Аа: 1аа).
