1. Прием маркетинга, анализ рынка с целью его разделения на сегменты. С.р. способствует большей целенаправленности и, следовательно, эффективности маркетинговой деятельности. С.р. позволяет согласовывать ассортимент производимых товаров и услуг и технологии их производства с требованиями рынка. Часто целью конкурентной политики фирмы (предприятия) становится завоевание всего или преобладающей части сегмента рынка, чтобы занять в нем доминирующее положение и извлечь преимущества из возникающей при этом монопольной власти. 2. Фактическое, иногда вынужденное выделение некоторой части рынка в отдельный самостоятельный рынок.
