Xota, baile de la Jota, danza general de todas las regiones de España, la Jota dicen que nació en muchas partes, pero bien pienso que la Jota es el conjunto de muchas alegrías y penas dispares, concentradas en un sencillo y natural baile, que tuvo su alumbramiento en las montaras de mi querida Tierrina, cuando las gentes que la poblaban en los tiempos de la dominación árabe, le dieron a éste su primera derrota.
