(индексные фьючерсы) Фьючерсный контракт ( futures contract) на рынке финансовых фьючерсов (financial futures market), типа Лондонской международной биржи финансовых фьючерсов и опционов (London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange), которая предоставляет возможности торговли фьючерсами и опционами (options), ориентируясь на индекс 100 акций фондового рынка “Файнэншл таймс” (FT-SE 100 Index) и индекс 100 Европейского фондового рынка “Файнэншл таймс” (FT-SE Eurotrack 100 Index) (см.: Financial Times Share Indexes (индексы курсов акций газеты “Файнэншл таймс”)). При операциях на базе FT-SE 100 Index торговая единица равна 25 ф. ст. на пункт индекса. Если, например, фьючерсный контракт покупается тогда, когда индекс показывает 2 400, оплата покупателя эквивалентна покупке акций на 60 000 ф. ст, (25 ф. ст. 2 400). Если индекс возрос на 100 пунктов, покупатель может продать соответствующий фьючерсный контракт по этому уровню, получив 2 500 ф. ст. прибыли (25 ф. ст. 100).
