1) Arithmetic Logic Unit - арифметико-логическое устройство, АЛУбазовая часть процессора, комбинационная схема (combinational circuit), выполняющая набор его арифметических (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division и др.) и логических (AND, OR, NOT, XOR и/или др.) команд, а также команды сдвигов и сравнений. Кроме того, АЛУ выполняет операции адресной арифметики, хотя для этой цели могут использоваться отдельные блоки AGU.
