לֵבָבm. (b. h.) = לֵב, heart; (in rabbinical homiletics) double heart, seat of two opposite inclinations (v. יֵצֶר). Ber.IX, 5 (ref. to Deut. 6:5) בכל לְבָבְךָ בשני יצריךוכ׳ ‘with all thy heart means with both thy inclinations (i. e. break thy evil inclination for the love of God). Gen.
