Начальное состояние - в динамических моделях экономики — совокупность сложившихся к началу исследуемого (или планового) периода значений экономических переменных, последующие значения которых определяются в ходе решения задачи. Начальное состояние, как и любое состояние системы, определяется значениями существенных для данной задачи переменных. От правильного выбора Н.у. зависит дальнейший расчет по модели; в моделях планирования они во многом характеризуют возможности развития моделируемой системы в плановом или прогнозном периоде.
