EU Council
The Council of the European Union is an institution which exercises legislative and decision-making powers. At the same time, it is the forum in which the representatives of the Governments of the 15 Member States can assert their interests and try to reach compromises. The Council ensures general coordination of the activities of the European Community, the main objective of which is the establishment of an internal market, i.e. an area without internal frontiers guaranteeing four freedoms of movement - for goods, persons, services and capital - to which should soon be added a single currency. In addition, the Council is responsible for intergovernmental cooperation, in common foreign and security policy (CFSP) and in the areas of justice and home affairs (JHA), including for example matters of immigration and asylum, combating terrorism and drugs and judicial cooperation. Court of Justice of the European Communities
Institution set up under Treaty of Rome to ensure that in interpretation and application of the Treaty the law is observed. It consists of judges from each member state, appointed for 6-year periods, assisted by three Advocates General. It sits in Luxembourg, expressing itself in judgements when called upon to do so in proceedings initiated by member states, institutions of the EC and natural or legal persons. Часто называемый денежным рынком, рынок долгосрочных кредитов (а также акций, других ценных бумаг и финансовых инструментов, включая производные финансовые инструменты). Сюда относят также рынок кратко- и среднесрочных кредитов, инвестиций, а также, валютный рынок, рынок золота и т.п. Обычно финансовый рынок в целом делят на три сегмента: банковский (финансовые посредники), инвестиционный (управляющие компании инвестиционных фондов и др.), страховой (страховые компании). См. Денежный рынок, регулятор финансовых рынков. Финансовый рынок (financial market) —рынок кратко-, средне- и долгосрочных кредитов, инвестиций, ценных бумаг (например, рынок государственных обязательств), вкладов,а также долговой рынок, валютный рынок и т.п. Обычно ф.р. В целом делят на рынок капиталов и денежный рынок. Выделяются также рынки золота, акций и иные секторы ф.р.
