Налогообложение
Система обязательных сборов, взимаемых государством с физических и юридических лиц. Налогами облагаются доходы, имущество, прирост капитала, потребление товаров и услуг (см. Tax). Государство использует средства от налоговых поступлений а) на финансирование расходов на образование, здравоохранение, оборону, транспорт и социальное обеспечение (см. Budget, Government expenditure); б) как инструмент налоговой политики, направленной на регулирование уровня совокупного спроса (см. Demand management); в) для перераспределения доходов и богатства (см. Principles of taxation, Redistribution of income); г) для регулирования объемов импорта (см. Balance of payments equilibrium).
