Nota d'usoQuando si parla di alimenti dolci in generale, è preferibile usare l'espressione “sweet things”: Mi piacciono i dolci, I like sweet things. La parola “sweets”, infatti, significa anche caramelle è potrebbe generare fraintendimenti. In alternativa, per dire che si amano i dolci si può ricorrere all'espressione idiomatica “to have a sweet tooth”: Adorava i dolci, she had a sweet tooth. -
