(например: family, team, government, variety, number и т.д.), могут согласоваться с глаголом и другими зависимыми словами как в единственном, так и во множественном числе. Существительное police согласуется со сказуемым и зависимыми словами во множественном числе.The police have dropped charges against them. — Полиция сняла с них обвинения.
