[haipë:tekst] n. hipertekst (Hiperteksti paraqet tekst (dokument) në të cilin ekzistojnë fjalë, shprehje ose fjali të shënuara më ndryshe (më të shëndritshme, me ngjyrë ose të nënvizuara), përmes të cilave mund të vendoset lidhie me dokument tjetër ose mundësohet kalim në dokument tjetër. Këto dokumente janë të shkruara në gjuhën HTML ( HyperText Markup Language) dhe HTML dokumente. Domethënë hiperteksti përmban rrjet kompleks, josekuencial asocimesh, të cilat shfrytëzuesi mund t'i shfletojë temat e ndërlikuara deri te të cilat ekziston link.Termi hipertekst është shpikur në vitin 1965 për të përshkruar dokumente që i paraqet kompjuteri dhe që shprehin një strukturë jolineare të ideve, për dallium nga formatet lineare të librave, filmit dhe të folurit.) -
